History

The CAY donut company was created in February of the year 2022, after thinking of an idea of something that can be sold and that is attractive to our public, after several brainstorms and trial and error of some products, at In the end, the donuts were the ones we chose as a product.

Like everything else, we had some conflicts due to lack of communication, some thought one thing and others another, Abby, for example, likes things with time, Anna and Camila are more relaxed with that. In the end, everything went well for us and we learned to work respecting the ideas of each one and, above all, we learned to adapt to the conditions to be used and to the personality of each one.

Our original idea was that the shape of our product was like a doughnut, with the hole in the middle. We were going to order a special mold for that, but we couldn't get it by the time we got it, which was the first sale. That was something that made things tense in the team, since ours was not going to be as we had thought and especially because of how we had presented it. The day we got together to prepare the donuts we had to manage to make them, we used aluminum foil and a cupcake mold to make the base of the donuts, they didn't turn out the way we wanted because they weren't shaped like a traditional donut. We decided it would be a closed donut! The truth of flavor if we liked it a lot and apparently the public also because it was sold to us.

At the beginning they did not use so much faith because when we promoted them, we specified that they were yogurt donuts and people thought they were bread donuts, when nothing to do with it. So we feel insecure because we use the fear of disappointing people with a product that they already had in mind and that the moment they saw it they didn't want it because of their idea that it was bread. We try to be as specific as possible to avoid confusion and in the end it seems that they liked the product because it ended up being reduced

The day of the sale, our stand was very quiet compared to others, the first 10 minutes or so we had no one and we saw other stands that were very full and made us nervous that we would not sell. But after a few minutes people began to arrive and little by little everything was sold to us.
